SENIOR PASTOR

Pastor Curry 2018.jpg

Reverend Dr. Christopher T. Curry accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in May of 1980.

Reverend Curry is married to his college sweetheart, Mrs. Rosa M. Curry.  After 11 years of praying, God blessed he and Rosa with their miracle baby, Miss Ashley Curry.  He was called to the ministry in April of 1989 and has preached throughout the United States while he sites the highlight of his preaching ministry during a visit to Nigeria in 1992.  He feels particularly called to minister to those who are in despair; those who have doubts about their self-being; and those who feel that life has dealt them a, “Bad hand.”  He is at ease with both, young audiences and those whom he describes themselves as “Seasoned Saints.” His contemporary, yet mature presence allows the Power of God to have His way.  In September of 1999, Reverend Curry was ordained into the ministry, by the Beloved St. John Evangelistic Church, in Philadelphia, PA.

Pastor Curry comes to us from Ezion Fair Baptist Church, in Wilmington Delaware where he serves as the Senior Pastor.  Ezion Fair Baptist Church has over 45 active Ministries, which embraces an urban community agenda. The atmosphere of worship at Ezion Fair is fashioned in a manner that reflects “Relationship with God”rather than “Religion that knew God.” Ezion Fair Baptist Church lives in the philosophy that they are a church that is “On The GROW,” because pursuing “Spiritual Excellence” is the only acceptable standards of the Christian Journey. In 2005, when Pastor Curry accepted the call to become Ezion Fair Baptist Church pastor, its membership was at 135, we are now over 3000 members.  In July of 2009, under his vision and leadership The Ezion Fair Church Family moved into their new 20,000 sq Worship Center. In the summer of 2018, Ezion Fair will open A 28,000 sq. ft Wholeness Community Center.

Prior to accepting the call of God to Pastor Ezion Fair Baptist Church, he served at Berkeley College, Delaware State University, Delaware Valley College and Lincoln University as the Dean and/or Director of Residence Life.  In these positions, he set in place various programs and activities to give the residential students the opportunity to grow, develop and mature to become the productive citizens that all Universities and Colleges desire.

Dr. Curry is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Initiated in Mu Omega Chapter, currently serving in the local chapter of Gamma Mu Nu and he is the Immediate Past Grand Chaplain for the International Fraternity.

Dr. Curry received his Bachelors degree from Lincoln University; a certificate of Certification in Elementary Education from West Chester University; a Masters of Educational Leadership from Cheyney University; a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, with an emphasis on School Violence from LaSalle University; a second Masters in Divinity from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a second Doctorate in Ministry from United Theological Seminary.
